The jury, which consists of director Sanda Manu, playwrighter Matei Visniec, theatrologist Irina Ionesco, and theatrologist Octavian Saiu, announced on Monday,  31^st of August, The UNDERCLOUD Awards 2015, comprising two new categories: The Excellence Award, The Free Theater Award – Under Any Cloud, offered to a state theater, and the Award for author theater.

UNDERCLOUD Excellence Award 2015 went to ”The Fall” by Albert Camus, interpreted by the Jewish Romanian based actor Nico Nitai.

The Free Theater Award – UNDER ANY CLOUD
Starting this year, the UNDERCLOUD team will give The Free Theater Award – Under Any Cloud to a production of a state theater. This year, The Free Theater Award – Under Any Cloud went to Bulandra Theater and to team of the performance ”Art” by Yasmina Reza, directed by Cristi Juncu, with Vlad Zamfirescu, Gigi Ifrim, Șerban Pavlu; scenography signed by Cosmin Ardeleanu.

The Award for The Best Actress was given to Iulia Colan, for the role Charlie in the show ”Flowers for Algernon” – Theater ACT production.

The Award for The Best Actor was given to Richard Bovnoczki, for the role Gavrilescu ”With the Gypsy Girls”, directed by Andrei and Andreea Grosu – Unteatru production.

The Award for Direction was given to Cristi Juncu, for the performance ”Cont(r)ACTe” – Theater ACT production.

The Award for the author theater was given to Liei Bugnar.

The UNDERCLOUD Award 2015: ”Promised Land”, concept and choreography Arcadie Rusu, with Ioana Marchidan, Judith State, Atilla Bordas, Istvan Teglas and Elisabeta Mihai.

The Award for the Best Performance was given to ”With the Gypsy Girls”, directed by Andrei and Andreea Grosu – Unteatru production.  Scenography: Vladimir Turturică. Cast: Richard Bovnoczki, Liviu Pintileasa, Mihaela Trofimov, Corina Moise, Florina Gleznea, Cristina Casian, Bogdan Cotleț.
